Wirework

Coil, twist and weave silver wire into rings, pendants and decorative elements. The foundational skill of Indonesian silversmithing.

Handmade Techniques

Shape silver sheet and wire by hand using traditional tools — sawing, filing, forming — the same methods our artisans use daily in production.

Metal Stamping

Imprint patterns, letters and motifs into silver using stamps and a chasing hammer. Create personalised pieces with permanent marks.

Texturing

Add visual depth with hammered, brushed and reticulated surfaces. Learn how different finishes change the character of a piece entirely.

Stone Setting

Seat a genuine gemstone into your piece using a bezel setting — included in every package. Full Day and Intensive classes include two or more stones.

Finishing & Polishing

Sand, buff and polish your piece to a professional shine. Leave with a wearable 925 sterling silver creation — your own work, your own design.

Jewelry Class FAQ

Where is the jewelry making class located?
The class takes place at our silversmithing workshop in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. WhatsApp us at +62 817 0355 3530 for the exact address and directions. We are easy to reach from the city centre and most hotels in Surabaya.
Do I need any silversmithing experience to join?
No experience needed. All classes are designed for beginners. Our master craftsmen guide you step by step from raw silver wire to a finished piece. Most students complete a wearable ring or pendant in their first session.
What is included in the class price?
All classes include tools, genuine gemstones (1 stone for the Short Course, 2 for Full Day, 4 for Intensive), beverages, an English-speaking translator if needed, and a 20% discount in our jewellery shop. Silver material is billed separately at IDR 80,000 per gram based on the weight of your finished piece. The Full Day and Intensive classes also include lunch.
How long does the silversmithing class run?
The Short Course runs 3 hours (weekday Mon–Fri, or Saturday morning). The Full Day Course runs 6 hours including a lunch break. The Intensive Class is two full days, 6 hours each day, and includes a silver factory excursion on the second day. Private classes with custom durations are available on request.
Can tourists and visitors from abroad join the class?
Yes. The class is popular with tourists and international visitors, especially from Singapore, Australia, Japan, and Europe. Instruction is in English and Indonesian. We can arrange flexible scheduling around your travel itinerary — message us on WhatsApp a day ahead or even on the day if spaces are open.
Can I book for a group or corporate team?
Yes. Groups of 4 or more receive a discounted rate on all packages. We also welcome corporate team events and private group sessions. Contact us on WhatsApp to arrange a custom schedule and group pricing.
What will I make in the class?
At least one piece of 925 sterling silver jewellery — typically a ring, pendant, or bracelet, depending on the techniques you focus on. Every piece you create is yours to take home. The Full Day and Intensive classes allow time to make multiple pieces or explore more complex designs.
